# Sidebar views

> Switch the sidebar between AEO, Ads, and All to keep the pages you use most in view. Every other page stays one click away under More.

A sidebar view shows a smaller set of pages in the sidebar. Pick the view that matches your work, and the rest of Slate moves under **More**.

## Why It Matters

The pages you use every day stay in view without scrolling, even on a small laptop screen.

## Where to Find It

The chip under your workspace logo shows the current view, for example **AEO**. Click it to open **Show the sidebar for**, then pick a view.

## The Views

| **Ads** | Google Ads performance | Home, Cowork, Ads, More |
| **All** | Every tool in Slate | Home, Cowork, Insights, Work, Automate, Assets |

The menu lists only the views you can use in this workspace. **All** is always there.

## More

In **AEO** and **Ads**, **More** holds every page the view doesn't show. The pages keep the same groups as in **All**: **Insights**, **Work**, **Automate**, and **Assets**. While one of these pages is open, **More** stays highlighted.

To go back to the full sidebar, click **Switch to All** at the bottom of **More**.

## Which View You Start On

* On the **Launch** plan, the sidebar starts on **AEO**.
* On every other plan, it starts on **All**.

The bottom of the menu names your plan's starting view, for example "Your plan starts on AEO."

When you pick a view, Slate saves it for you in that workspace, and it follows you to other devices. Each workspace keeps its own view, and each teammate picks their own.

## Small Screens

When the window is too short for the whole sidebar, the labels under the icons hide. Hover an icon to see its name.

## Tips

* **Every page is still in reach.** Links, **Search** (⌘K), and **Home** open any page, whichever view you're on.
* **Paths in these docs use the All view**, for example **Insights → AI Visibility**. In **AEO**, AI Visibility sits in the sidebar itself. In **Ads**, it's under **More → Insights**.
* **Don't see Ads?** The **Ads** view shows only in workspaces where the Ads page is available to you.
* **Don't see AEO?** It needs access to at least one of AI Visibility, Keywords, or Opportunities. Ask a workspace admin about your role.
