Why agency margins stay thin as you grow

Each new client adds hours of research, writing and reporting that your team does by hand today.

Add a prospect's domain and Slate shows where they rank on Google, how often AI answers mention them, how competitors compare, and what to fix first. Your proposal starts there.

A 90-day roadmap built in Cowork

Ask Cowork to turn the research into a plan: which pages to create, which to update, which sites to pitch for mentions, and in what order. Put the roadmap in the proposal so the prospect sees what the first three months look like.

Thunderclap sells websites on whether they'll be found

Before a website pitch, Thunderclap runs Slate on the prospect and two or three competitors. The proposal shows the pages the prospect is missing and how the new site will cover them. The client buys a site planned around search as well as design.

Deliver for every clientRun every client's SEO and content from one workspace

Each client gets a workspace with its brand guidelines, product details and past work. Slate does the research, drafts and weekly updates. Your team decides what goes live.

Research and new content

Slate researches keywords and sources before every brief, then writes articles, comparison pages and FAQs in each client's voice.

Meegle: blog clicks grew from 85 to 1,300 a month

Page updates

Slate checks every page each week for falling traffic or lost mentions, then updates it with new data, FAQs and internal links.

RateGain: AI Overview mentions grew from 7 to 85 in 18 days

Pages at scale

Build hundreds of location, integration or comparison pages from one template, with fresh research for each page.

Atlas HXM: pages for several countries from one workflow, ranking in the top 3

Outreach

Slate finds the review sites and articles that matter in each client's category and reaches out by email and LinkedIn.

Result: brand mentions and backlinks for your clients

Weekly to-do list

Each client workspace gets a ranked list of what to write, update and pitch next, so your strategists start every week with a plan.

Weekly: a fresh list for every client

Client reports

Slate builds monthly reports that connect the work done to rankings, traffic and leads, ready to share as slides.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the partner program work?

There are two ways to partner. Agency partners run their clients on Slate's agency plan, bill clients directly, and get setup help and pitch support from the Slate team. Referral partners send brands to Slate with their own link and earn commission on each account. To join, apply through the form and the partner team will set up a call.

How is commission worked out and paid?

Referral partners earn 10 to 20% commission on the accounts they refer. Your rate depends on the revenue you bring to Slate each year, and tiers are reviewed annually.

Will Slate approach my clients?

No. Slate won't approach partners' clients. Client content and data belong to your agency and your clients.

Who owns the content and data if we stop using Slate?

You and your clients do. Slate publishes into each client's own CMS, so everything you've published stays live on their site.

Can I research a prospect before they sign?

Yes. Add a prospect's domain and Slate shows where they rank on Google, how often AI answers mention them, how competitors compare, and what to fix first. This takes about five minutes.

Can my clients log in and approve work?

Every workflow has review steps, and approvals can happen in Slack or Gmail, so nothing goes live without sign-off.

Do I still need writers?

Yes, though fewer of them. Slate does the research and first drafts, and your team reviews and approves. TripleDart went from more than 100 freelance writers to 10 in-house reviewers.

How many client workspaces does the plan include?

The $2,000/month agency plan covers workspaces and users for all your clients. It includes 100,000 credits, 10,000 tracked pages and 5,000 tracked keywords a month.

Which search engines and AI platforms does Slate track?

Google rankings, plus mentions in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Perplexity. Claude and Gemini tracking is available as an add-on.

Which CMS platforms can Slate publish to?

WordPress, Webflow and Sanity, plus Google Docs for teams that review before publishing.
