What is Slate?

Slate is a workspace for marketing automation. Use it to run research, analysis, and execution tasks without switching between tools. The Slate sidebar organizes the product into five areas:
  • Cowork – Chat with Slate, your AI agent. Ask it to research, audit, analyze, or plan anything SEO-related.
  • Insights – See how your brand performs in search. Includes LLM Search (AI visibility tracking), Google Search (keyword tracking), Pages (page-level performance), and Opportunities.
  • Work – Your tasks and generated files. Includes Tasks and Artifacts.
  • Automate – Pipelines and playbooks. Includes Workflows, Recipes, Sheets, and Outreach.
  • Assets – What your agents know. Includes Brand Kit, Knowledge Base, Memory, and Skills.

Key Concepts

LLM Search monitors your brand and market presence inside AI search engines and answer engines.
  • Track brand mentions, citations, and visibility across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
  • Compare performance with competitors and monitor share-of-voice.

Workflows

Workflows are automated processes made of blocks. Each block performs a specific task, such as searching Google, analyzing content, or generating text with AI.
  • Create workflows from scratch or use ready-made templates.
  • Workflows take inputs (like keywords), run multiple steps, and return structured outputs.
  • Replace repetitive manual work with reusable flows.

Sheets

Sheets are a spreadsheet layer inside Slate.
  • Import data (keywords, URLs, campaigns) and run workflows in bulk.
  • Bulk run workflows row by row.
  • Handle large datasets for keyword research.

Cowork

Cowork is where you collaborate with the Slate agent in a chat interface.
  • Ask for research, audits, analysis, or content in plain language.
  • The agent plans the work, runs tools, and streams results as it goes.
  • Outputs land as tasks and downloadable artifacts you can reuse.
