Workspace settings hold the details and connections for one workspace: its name, logo, and tracked brand, plus your team, integrations, and API tokens.
Why It Matters
Everyone in the workspace sees its name and logo in the workspace switcher. The brand name tells AI Visibility which brand to track.
Where to Find It
- Click the Settings icon (sliders) near the bottom of the sidebar rail.
- Choose Workspace settings.
The page opens on General. Use the left menu to move between sections. The Organization settings link at the top right opens settings for your whole organization.
Who Can Change Settings
Your workspace role decides what you can do here:
- Admin — can view and edit every section.
- Member — can open Workspace settings and view values, but can’t edit them. API tokens is hidden.
- Writer, Editor, and Designer — don’t see Workspace settings.
See Team and roles for the full role breakdown.
General
Edit the workspace details
- Open General.
- Change any of these fields:
- Workspace name — 3 to 50 characters. Shown in the workspace switcher and to everyone in the workspace.
- Brand name — the brand AI Visibility tracks. The brand’s full profile lives in Brand Kit.
- Logo — click Upload logo (or Replace logo), or drag an image onto the logo. Use PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 5 MB. Click Remove to clear the logo.
- Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page, or press ⌘S (Ctrl S on Windows). Click Discard to undo your edits.
The In the workspace switcher card previews the workspace as you type. The At a glance card shows the organization, member count, your role, and the Workspace ID, with a button to copy it.
Danger zone
The Danger zone card changes who can use the workspace.
Leave the workspace (Admins and Members):
- Next to Leave workspace, click Leave.
- Click Leave workspace to confirm.
You lose access right away. An Admin must invite you again before you can rejoin.
Delete the workspace (Admins only):
- Next to Delete workspace, click Delete workspace.
- Type the workspace name to confirm.
- Click Delete workspace.
Deleting a workspace removes it and its data from Slate for everyone. Hosted images and files are kept for 90 days before permanent deletion. Contact Slate Support within those 90 days to restore the workspace or download hosted files.
After you leave or delete a workspace, Slate opens another workspace in the same organization. If none is left, Slate opens workspace setup.
Integrations
Integrations lists the tools connected to this workspace:
- Essentials — the core tools: CRM, Project management, and Communication. Meetings is marked Coming soon.
- MCP servers — specialized tools Slate can use in Cowork.
- More integrations — other tools you can add any time.
- Outreach — shown only if Outreach is enabled for your workspace.
Only Admins see the Connect and Manage buttons.
Slack settings live under Communication. Click Connect, or Manage once Slack is connected. See Slack for the full setup.
For other tools, see the integration guides:
API Tokens
API tokens lets scripts and other systems call the Slate API. Only Admins see this section. Tokens act with your workspace permissions.
To create a token and authenticate requests, see Authentication.
Troubleshooting
- The fields are read-only. You have the Member role. Ask an Admin to make the change, or to change your role.
- I don’t see Workspace settings in the Settings menu. Writers, Editors, and Designers can’t open Workspace settings. Ask an Admin for help.
- “Use at least 3 characters.” The workspace name needs 3 to 50 characters.
- I can’t leave the workspace. You can’t leave a workspace where you’re the only member. Delete the workspace instead, or invite someone first.
