Why It Matters
You can answer Slate, retry stopped work, and assign Opportunities without leaving Home.Where to Find It
Click Home in the sidebar. Slate also opens Home when you enter a workspace. The Status Headline
Under the greeting, a headline sums up the page, for example “Two things need you · Clicks up 12% · 3 opportunities found”. Click a phrase to jump to its section. The first phrase counts waiting decisions, or says Nothing needs you. The second shows the change in organic clicks, or your share of voice. The third counts your Opportunities. While company research runs, research status can replace the first and last phrases.Your Call
Your call lists the questions and approvals Slate is waiting on. Home shows three at a time. Click Show all N decisions to see the rest. Answer each decision on Home:
After you answer, a confirmation replaces the decision and Slate continues. Each decision also has:
- Open thread → opens the Cowork conversation.
- Snooze hides the decision for An hour, until Tomorrow morning, or until Next week. A snooze applies to everyone in the workspace. You can still answer in the thread.
Stopped Tasks
When tasks assigned to Slate stop before finishing, Home shows one line, such as “2 tasks stopped before finishing”.- Retry all (or Retry) hands the tasks back to Slate. Home tells you when Slate starts.
- Dismiss hides the line. Click Undo to bring it back.
- View → opens Work → Tasks, where the tasks stay blocked.
Last 30 Days
Last 30 days compares your results with the previous 30 days. The section appears once your workspace has search or AI Visibility data. Home shows up to four tiles:
An arrow shows each change. Clicks and impressions change in percent. Rates change in points, so 10% to 12% shows as “2.0 pts”. For Avg. position, lower is better. Hover a label to read its definition.
Click Open Insights → to open Insights → Overview.
Company Research
Company research follows Slate’s research on your business. It writes four short documents: your brand, your competitors, where AI search mentions you, and what to fix first. While research runs, the header shows progress, such as “In progress · 2 of 4 documents”. Click a document or Open research → to read the documents. Click Add your focus → to tell Slate what matters most, which helps it rank your Opportunities.Start Research Later
If you skipped research during setup, Home shows “Slate hasn’t studied your business yet.”- If Slate doesn’t know your site, enter it in Your website.
- Click Study my company. When Slate knows your site, the button shows Study and your domain.
- Review the credit and time estimate, then click Start. Click Cancel to back out.
Opportunities
Opportunities shows the top three cards from Insights → Opportunities, in the same order. Each row shows a priority (High priority, Medium priority, or Low priority), the move, and one action:- Assign to Slate creates a task for Slate. The button then becomes Open task →.
- Track this prompt tracks a suggested prompt in AI Visibility. The button then becomes Open in Tracker →.
- Review → opens the opportunity’s details.
Connect Data
Connect data offers four optional connections: Search Console, Analytics 4, Webflow, and Slack.- Click Connect on a tile.
- For Search Console or Analytics 4, sign in with Google. For Search Console, a panel then opens where you choose your site and pages.
- For Webflow or Slack, Slate opens the Integrations page with the connect dialog.
Troubleshooting
- “Home is unavailable right now.” Click Refresh once the service is back. Nothing is lost.
- “Some sources didn’t answer.” One data source didn’t respond. The rest of the page is current.
- “Slate is still saving its place.” Wait a moment, then answer again.
