Opportunities are actions Slate detects for you automatically — prompts you could win, pages losing ground, and mentions you’re missing. Each one is scored, tracked over time, and ready to hand off to a teammate or the Slate agent.

Where to Find It

Go to Insights → Opportunities in the sidebar. The page itself is titled Actions.

Opportunity Types

The left sidebar groups detections into three categories: New Content
  • Untapped Prompts — prompts where no competitor is being cited yet — open territory.
  • Prompt Content Gap — prompts where competitors are cited but you have no content covering them.
Refresh content
  • Get Cited — pages with the potential to be cited for specific prompts but aren’t yet.
  • Declining Citations — pages losing AI citations over time.
  • Almost Page One — pages ranking just below position 10 on Google.
  • Losing Traffic — pages with declining organic traffic.
  • Losing Rank — pages slipping down the Google rankings.
  • Outdated Content — pages with stale information.
Others
  • Social Threads — high-signal posts worth engaging with.
  • Missing mentions — third-party URLs covering your space that don’t mention your brand.
Each type shows a count badge; types with nothing detected are hidden.

The Actions List

Select a type to see its actions in a table: Filter by Status, Assignee, Severity, or Detected streak using Add filter, or search for pages. Detections re-run on a schedule, so an action stays open (and its streak grows) while the underlying issue persists.

Working an Action

Click a row to open the detail panel. From there you can:
  1. Set the status as work progresses.
  2. Assign it — pick a teammate or the Slate agent. When the agent finishes, its output appears on the action as a work product you can open and edit.
  3. Add notes and discuss in the activity thread.

Add to Sheets

To work a batch of actions with a workflow, select them and click Add to sheets:
  • Create new sheet — starts a sheet pre-filled with the selected actions.
  • Add to existing sheet / Add to previously used sheet — appends to a sheet you already use.
Select actions from a single opportunity type per export. The sheet includes the action URLs or prompts plus notes and Brand Kit columns, ready for bulk workflow runs.
