What Slate is
Slate is where you see how your brand shows up in search, and then do something about it, all in one place. Search is splitting into two worlds: classic Google, and AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude. Slate tracks both, and then helps you research, write, publish, and automate the work to improve.
What it does
Two jobs, really:
- See: measure how you show up in AI answers and in Google, page by page and keyword by keyword, and against your competitors.
- Act: use an AI teammate, repeatable playbooks, and automation to research, write, publish, and update content, without leaving Slate.
How it is organized
Everything lives in the left sidebar:
- Home: a quick pulse on where you stand.
- Cowork: your AI teammate. Ask it to do almost anything in your workspace.
- Insights: how you show up, with reports for AI answers (LLM Search), Google keywords (Google Search), and page performance (Pages).
- Work: your tasks.
- Automate: build workflows that run for you.
- Assets: your Brand Kit, Knowledge Base, and more, the foundation that makes Slate sound like you.
- Sheets: bulk-edit many pages at once.
How the series fits together
A simple way to think about Slate:
- See where you stand, in Insights.
- Act, with Cowork.
- Repeat, by saving tasks as recipes.
- Scale, with workflows and sheets.
The rest of these videos walk through each step.
Getting started
- Take the quick tour: open Home, then click through Insights, Cowork, and Assets to get your bearings.
- Set up your workspace next, so your brand and data are connected.
- Open Cowork and give it a first task to feel how Slate works.
Summary (quick recap)
In short, Slate shows you where you stand in search across Google and AI, then gives you the tools to act on it.
